He was born with no superhuman abilities.Eli used illegal Mutant Growth Hormone (MGH) pills to gain superhuman abilities. He received a blood transfusion from Isaiah following a violent altercation which caused heavy blood loss, resulting in the transference of the Captain America's Super-Soldier Serum and its desired effects.
Eli along with Teddy (Hulkling), Billy (Wiccan) and the Iron Lad, formed the Young Avengers.
He is 5' 11'' and 160 lbs
POWERS While secretly using his specially concocted MGH formula, Elijah possessed agility, strength, speed, endurance, and reaction-time superior to that of normal Super Soldiers like Captain America. He also developed genuine Super Soldier abilities, including bullet proof skin super strength, endurance, speed, and agility. He is also able to recover from injury at a much faster rate than normal humans.
WEAPONS Patriot carries a replica of Captain America's original, star-spangled, triangular shield. It looks very similar to the one his grandfather used to wield, though his grandfather's was unpainted. He also has throwing stars, modeled after the stars of the flag, that he keeps on his person and can use like shuriken.
